32.5 Additional programs in AppImage format
The AppImage format can be used to launch programs that contain the entire scope in one file. The file can be saved in the 'data' directory. Before an AppImage program can be started, the permissions must be set so that the file is executable. To do this, call the file manager 'Caja' via the start menu, activate the file in the corresponding directory (probably mostly 'data') with the right mouse button and call the item 'Properties'.
In the dialog box, select the 'Access rights' tab or activate the 'Run file as program' option there. After that, the program can be started by double-clicking on it.
