Short answer: Yes, see 33.1. Long answer: No software is free in the broader sense. The development of any software costs a lot of time and money. We deliberately chose the GPL license in 2005 because we believe that open sources (programs) are an advantage both for our customers (trust relationship) and for us (our work goes into the solution, not into license management). However, having the sources does not mean that the solution will run with them. The ArchivistaBox is delivered fully configured - and therefore the ready-to-use ArchivistaBox is not free of charge.
Nevertheless, there are free offers with the ArchivistaBox. Firstly, the underlying Linux AVMultimedia is completely open source. Independently of this, ArchivistaDMS and ArchivistaERP can be operated free of charge as a cloud solution (up to 20 GByte) with a registration. With ArchivistaVM there is the option of running a KVM server with AQemu at AVMultimedia.
