When two ArchivistaBox systems are used, the databases are synchronized automatically. This can only work as long as both systems are operating normally. If, exceptionally, the synchronization between the master and slave servers should stop working, the automatic synchronization can be restarted by restarting the master computer. During the restart, the two servers are then aligned, with the master always transferring the data to the slave.
During the synchronization the slave computer cannot be used and the master computer has read-only access. New data can be entered on the master only after the synchronization is complete. The synchronization of archives can take between a few minutes and up to a few hours. During this time the ArchivistaBoxes should not be restarted.
