34.5 How do I scan to an ArchivistaBox?
You can choose between connecting a scanner directly to an ArchivistaBox, the ArchivistaBox Albis scanning station or scanning with a network-compatible device. Scanning with a network-capable device is described under 25.11. It is much easier to connect a scanner directly to the ArchivistaBox or to work with scan stations.
If a scanner is plugged directly into an ArchivistaBox (e.g. ArchivistaBox Dolder), scanning will work without any further steps. The only requirement is that you have purchased the scanner drivers for the ArchivistaBox.
The scan stations do not need to be configured either, but a user must be created for the scan station in the respective database on the main box. To do this, call up WebAdmin and select New at Users in the top left of the table. At 'Host' enter the IP address of the desired scan box, use user and password analogous to other scan boxes or databases. You will receive the necessary information when the ArchivistaBox(es) are delivered.
: If you are working with the keypad, all databases must also be entered for the scan key (more on this under 8.21), although this should also be correctly preset at delivery.
