26.8 Optional applications
With ArchivistaBox, some applications that are included with AVMultimedia are not delivered. These are the applications:
- GIMP: Comprehensive image and graphics program
- Scratch3: Visual programming for children
- GCompris: Educational program for children with many sections
- JDownloader: Extraction of links from web pages
- Kdenlive: Video editing with countless possibilities
- MediathekView: Download video contributions of public broadcasters
- TV-Browser: TV guide for offline use
- Sozi: Create presentations for the web browser with Inkscape
To activate these applications it is necessary to get the file 'opt.os' from the project page of AVMultimedia, see:
archivista.ch/cms/en/support/avmultimedia.
Then copy this file to /home/data. With a restart the applications will be included afterwards; the corresponding programs can be found in the corresponding menus.
