The choice of the correct ArchivistaBox only plays a role in that if the ArchivistaBox is too small, it may be necessary to change to a larger box under time pressure. The costs for the previous model will be credited, provided that the hardware can be taken over in the process.
It is therefore helpful to know that the Dolder, Rigi and Saentis box models include the same hardware, as do the Pilatus, Titlis and Eiger models.
This does not, however, indicate which ArchivistaBox should be selected in concrete terms. It makes sense to estimate the number of documents or files or the resulting number of pages per year. This will give you the number of documents or pages. For your own safety, factor 1.5 should be added to the estimates. The number of documents or pages obtained in this way should be extrapolated over five years. Example:
20 documents per day * 250 working days = 5'000 documents
5000 documents * 1.5 (reserve) = 7'500 documents per year
7500 documents * 5 = 37'500 documents over five years
According to this calculation, the ArchivistaBox Rigi fits, albeit rather narrowly. Nevertheless, this can be recommended, as an upgrade to the ArchivistaBox Saentis is possible at any time due to the same hardware.
If multimedia archives with many video files are to be realized, the ArchivistaBox Dom, K2 or Everest models should be selected. Calculate with about 2 GByte per hour for videos in HD, with FullHD with about 4 GByte per hour or with 4K with about 10 GByte per hour. This means that, for example, 28 TB will hold about 7000 hours (28000/4) of material in FullHD. At this point we would like to point out the possibility of a free consultation.
